What is the deal with the goat?
In 2011 I took a leap of faith, left my full time position and launched Shananigenz Creative. I was drawn to follow a new path,
explore my creativity, appreciate my world and launch into uncharted
territories. It was a scary time.

During my initial branding, I was compelled to find a deeper connection to my brand. I desired a logo that would represent my vision and personal journey.
I have always been drawn to goats, yet the symbolism of goats went much further than the common misconception that goats will get into anything. In fact, goats are actually quite picky. It is true that they will explore all areas, but what is viewed as an overconsumption of everything, is in actuality, a form of sensory perception. A goat is basically sampling a little bit of everything to have a deeper connection to the world it exists in. A goat explores with great inquiry, yet holds out for what is truly desired.
It is known that goats aren't a very communal animal. However, the truth is that it isn't that goats are anti-social, but they crave moments of independence. My business was a solo venture, however my connections were deep and meaningful with each client I worked with. Anyone who knows me personally knows I am quite an extrovert.
Goats travel to great heights, this symbolizes a spiritual ambition with a need to rise to the top of any obstacle. Goats approach a climb ahead of them with ease and enthusiasm, and the challenge of the climb provides a deep satisfaction for progress and achievement.
The goat is motivational. A goat encourages us to search within ourselves and to engage and entertain our own sense of curiosity at great heights.
The goat became my internal muse for the brand of Shananigenz Creative. It is lighthearted and recognizes the whimsical nature of a goats behavior, yet also incorporates my personal values and company mission.
I continue to face any challenge, no matter how daunting, explore all avenues until satisfied and remain inquisitive for my growth and development
as a creative.
